Introduction

Hi, my name is Karen. I was born a few years ago (and, no, I won’t say how long ago because age is a state of the mind and I refuse to age!)

A couple of years ago I embarked on the greatest adventure of my life, taking groups of teens, young adults, and the not-so-young adults on mission trips to preach the gospel.

On these trips, we have discovered a reason for living and a passion for life. We’ve made friends which are now part of the family. Our priorities have been rearranged. We have come away from this experience not just knowing in theory that God can do anything, but seeing it for ourselves. We’ve been privileged to have a part in changing people’s lives. Our hearts are continually wrung out by the poverty seen all around, as well as by the hopelessness that wealth brings apart from God.

We have come back from these trips determined to continue to impact their world from ours by keeping in touch with new friends, sponsoring needy students so they can get an education, and fund raising for church buildings that need construction. Each year we think it can’t get any better than this, but each year we are thrilled at the ways God is working around the world.

There is no other adrenaline producing, soul satisfying, deeply rewarding experience out there other than working with God! Give it a try! You’ll find, that like the rest of us, you are addicted for life. (Check out www.sharehim.org)
